this is quite urgent as the deadline is 31/1/09

but basically a possible refund on child tax credit for years 2002/3.
heard about it at work last night, but also
heard it on the radio this morning, but it hasn`t been widely advertised...

sorry, just thought it was urgent, and unless you knew about it then you wouldn`t search for it.
i only found out about it last night from someone at work.
so unless i was searching for tax stuff, i wouldn`t normally venture over to the tax forum
thats why i posted it here.

I think you are right to post here - I am often on this site - but never go over to the tax forum. My sister was the one who alerted me to it last week. If she hadn't - I may never have known.0 -
I sent off our forms last week, how will we know if we are credited? How will we receive it?0

My husband just rang me from work, he found an old payslip with a tax code of 400L... does this mean we didn't get the allowance at the time?
He's printing off the form, and heading to our local tax office before it shuts this evening!

Make sure you phone the tax office, they will tell you if you recieved it or you can download form 11ctc from www.hmrc.gov and send it off to your local tax office but they have to recieve it by 31st January 2009 so be quick!0
