    Good call.

I've got loads of threads I can bring up after the election when the temporary policies have ended, and the winds of reality blow the fake recovery of house prices into the weeds. I've also got one or two that I can bring up in 20 years if we're still here.:D

Edit, I was interested if an old friend of mine posted in this thread as he was rather prolific at the time, sadly he didn't. I'm sure he would have thought the the same as me though.

Thanks for the bump......It is like going back in time.

Well, we never did go BR due to the lease...I gave them £26k instead (ouchy) but the hardest bit was knowing when to cut free.

I have felt unbelievable relief over this winter that we did do the right thing at the time (as that's all you can do) and I absolutely love my new business model (despite it still sending me crazee with stress sometimes) but only because it's good for ticking over during the downturn.

I miss some things about the old life but I can add them back on at sometime in the future...plus have all this newfound corp knowledge as an add on. Handy.

Sorry for The World of Me rant....I can't help myself :D

ETA..Hoping Alan M is ticking over OK too...

..but then that's The Thing HSF....will be here in 20 years time?
I guess we will be but our writings? Maybe not. Cave writing is the only thing that endures...

Today, I have had a good day ( as the past dozen have been hideous plus the snow thing...man...what APITA) and I am honestly not feeling your shotgun in 25 years time prediction. I can't write what I want to say as it sounds wrong but your post made me smile (~on the inflation thread).

Nice one Conrad - looks like the sky never did fall in.

Good thing the market has recovered so strongly over the past 11 months

Your pasta mountain aside, I wish I had your confidence regarding what is likely to happen in the future, whether good or bad. Are there set templates for the end of civilisation like that guy on HPC use to have in his signature?
In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:
  • It's always nice to resurrect a thread that shows that you got it right! :D

Looking back at your OP, would you say that things are continuing to soften? Things feel like it's easier to obtain funding, but the initial rate (plus the higher SVR that you end up with) are still fairly high. Are we seeing "smart" lending?
