Stork margarine - bbe

Hi All

I have just realised I have a tub of stork in the fridge which has a bbe date of 20/12/08, It is one that says best for cakes...
Will it still be ok to use or should I chuck it. baring in mind I am pregnant and don't want to risk an upset tummy!!!

I would use it as I have a cast iron stomach, but as it's fat it will take a lot longer to go off anyway.

i never take any notice of sell by dates - especially for cheese and butter etc :o

bbe = best before end, so not essential to eat before that date... just that the taste/quality may be affected.

use by = just that. usually used on eggs and milk and other easily spoiled items

    hope that helps! :)

Can't see any reason not to - unless fat is separating (i.e. it's gone rancid) then it's fine to use.
You'll be cooking it anyway and it's a great excuse to make lots of nice cakes ;)
