Kids want beyblades!

Options
I know these are now a thing of the past but my two boys (7 and 4) went to toys 'r' us with the missus last week and picked up a load of Beyblade stadiums which were 16p each. Now, the only problem is the spinning tops! I have searched everywhere for Beyblades but cannot seem to find them anywhere .... originals or cheap fakes .... it doesn't bother me.

I promised my kids I'd have them within a few days thinking there would be loads of places selling them but nothing!

Does anyone have any idea where I could get a few besides the usual auction websites?
Thanx!:o

They are the pogs and not the actual beyblades - the beyblades are spinning tops with a ripcord (the bane of my life about 6 years ago - my son loved them!)

I've still got a whole box full of the things!

Best bet is to try either The Entertainer or small independant toy shops.

Holy sh*t! They are expensive! Around £8 - £9 for one!
Thanks for the links though ..... really appreciated.

What are these pogs though? Guess they're no good as they don't come with the cord you pull to make the beyblade spin, not the same doing with just your bare hand! :(

bottomsup ... get them on ebay, I WILL buy them! :)

LOL! - The pogs are like round hard cards that you flip (a bit like cardboard tiddlywinks)

I'd have to dig them out of the loft - a mean feat at the best of times, and I probably would end up never listing them in the end. My son would take one look at them and say "nooo, I really need them!" (even though he hasn't played with them in about 5 years! -

Hope you find some - just to let you know, you normally have to build them, and it can take ages (horrible fiddly little plastic bits, stickers etc) so best bet if you do find some is to build them when the children are in bed, otherwise they will be hovering round you for about 2 hours saying "have you nearly finished yet?" - brings back memories of my hubby trying to assemble a micro machines truck one christmas!

Haha! Great post bottomsup ... u made me feel much better already .. don't know why though! I've just had a look on that auction site and they do have them there, but in groups of like 10 or 20 or so! Don't need that many! And they're selling for like £30 plus :0 .... ah well, just gonna have to give the kids the bad news ... they gonna gang up and beat the living daylights out of me now ... only cos I put myself in it by telling them beybaldes were cheap and easy to get :(

    Cheers! :):)
