Hi
If I can buy a whole fresh salmon at a good price at the Supermarket when I'm cooking for a crowd. I buy the whole salmon, wash thoroughly then wrap in clingfilm and then tin foil and place in the top basket of the dishwasher, set dishwasher for 30 minute programme and check salmon (I tend to find I need to use 2 x 30 minute programme for the Salmon to be cooked just right. (Obviously don't put a crocks or power in machine!!!) Salmon will be beautifully moist and delicious. Hope this helps. Best of luck!WEIGHTLOSS SINCE JUNE 2009 - 5 ST 2LB0 -

I find doing hot food much less fiddly than a buffet. My two favourites are lasagne (made in those big foil trays you can bin afterwards) with lots of help yourselfsalad or a goulash/beef in red wine sauce with new potatoes (cooked in advance then pinged in microwave). We serve up in kitchen then people go off and help themselves to french bread. I do cheeseboard and grapes or bowls of HM trifle for pud.0
