Can someone please simplify this one for me?
As you know I am currently on sick leave from Boots 'tarting'. I thought I was doing a good job by following the posts ...............but obviously I'm still fuzzy headed.
I promise to try to keep up.

Spend £15 on No7 stuff and get free gift bag (you'd then have the gift bag & your £15 of No 7 stuff) + you would get a £5 voucher off (currently been given for any spend over £10) - to use on various skin care products

    Hope that hellps

Not exactly sure about the No7 voucher.....I know some people have used it in association with the BOGOF on NO7 suncreams.... it also works on some reduced No7....as long as you don't get a jobsworth SA who reads it with a magnifying glass! Photo counter is always a good till...they seem to put anything through!

Ok - my excuse is it's late! What I meant was the £5 voucher you get for a £10 spend! I was trying to think what you could use it against, I think it was Olay, Roc, TD and some others - couldn't remember the rest and though it might be usefull on the 1st post - sorry I've got you all confused too now!

In case you end up choosing for yourself, rather than taking a photo :)
Colour analysis looks at warm/cool, deep/light and muted/clear characteristics. I'm absolutely not an expert, but dark hair and eyes probably puts her slightly into the warmer/deeper categories - which translates as don't go for very girly pink :) As we age though, our colouring softens (though her dark hair will give her contrast) and it is better not to choose a very deep or bright lipcolour as she'll disappear behind it.

I would guess that a warm pinky-brown shade would probably look great. I've just bought Jemma Kidd shade 06 Audrey lipstick which is a very nice one, and although a small amount, is packaged with a lip softening primer in the other end (£10.50, 300 extra points in magazine, wait till after 15/2 for another 300 point voucher from adv card machine). Another good universal suggestion is No.7's Plum Beautiful (I think their lipsticks are c.£8?) which at one time was (maybe still is) the best-selling item in the range (because it suits many people?) - a nice mature deep soft pink.

If you feel like splurging, the lipsticks from Elizabeth Arden are very very nice to wear (and probably marketed for mature skin, given the brand costs), I don't know if they do one called Beach Pebble still, one of the most flattering colours I've ever had :) The reason I mention ElA is because until 15/2 you get a nice gift bag of skincare with any two purchases (not sure if this would work with reduced items, but I've seen quite a few reduced bits in several stores).
PaleScene - thanks ever so much for that. This feels like my secondary school Art lessons all over again!

Funny thing is that I could spend an hour picking what I thought would be the best shade for her and just get "Oh that's nice" back!

The best bit about the AC points is that if you build up a large enough amount thru things like the EI loophole, you can afford to splash out on brands you'd never normally touch.

Boots tills have a life of their own though, so I don't think we'll ever fully understand how they work... and that's why we love them so much! :rotfl:
Agreed, if they operated in a perfectly logical manner, it'd take all the fun out of the chase!

Personally, I think they're run by magic and programmed by wizards somewhere.

Just wanted to say to those who don't know this -- seeing that this thread is so long now --

if your options are set up so that you only see 10 posts at a time (i.e. this thread is 86 pages long), it would make it easier if you set it to 40 posts per page, i.e. this thread is 22 pages long. Much easier to read. :)

To change your options, go to User CP at the top of the page, then select Change Options on your left. Midway through there's a menu where you can select how many posts per page you want to view. :)
If people are going to do that, it's probably best to start referring to post number rather than page numbers when directing people to relevant answers.

Ie "the answer to your question is in post 123" rather than "the answer to your question is on page 11".

Will save alot of confusion. :)

Are these offers in store only?
tiff - the top of the leaflet has "www.boots.com" on it and there's nothing on the leaflet saying "instore only", so I'd imagine the offers apply online too.
