R,
This lender seem to want a CCJ (County court judgement) against you and obviously believe you can afford to pay a lot more than £1 a month and are prepared to go to court to try and secure a bigger payment, despite the cost to themselves.
It might be an idle threat. Given your income a court is unlikely to increase your payment significantly, particularly as you have been taking advice from the CAB.
Given your g/fs maternity it looks as if you might be a candidate for bankruptcy. It is a big step, will mean you won't be able to borrow for 6 years or get a mortgage but it will wipe the slate clean and mean you can start afresh. Have a chat to the CAB or CCCS about it.
R.Smile , it makes people wonder what you have been up to.0 -
Thank you Rafter #
It may be some ill founded threat or maybe not, we can prove our income so i cannot see the court increasing the offer.
As for bankruptcy i thought you had to owe over 15 grand or something, the total combined debt for me and my gf is about 14449 so i do not know what we can do, this debt is split between us both. but i think i will wait an see what the next course of action will be thanks again
