I was listening to the radio the other day and this bloke was telling this story of a recipe he had seen whilst on his travels.
Now, this is a bit sketchy...I tuned in half way through the conversation, so forgive me for not having too many details here
The bloke is the one who does the tax returns adverts
.He is also on the history channel a lot.
He was telling this story about these wood burning stoves choking people to death, and there was an educational program going around to get these villagers to fit cooker hoods to take the smoke away from the mud buildings.
Towards the end of the story, he told of this recipe where they fried these onions to soften them, then added tomatoes and water
and finally chucked in a lot of cabbage and left it to stew for a while.
He said he was going to try it as it was soooooo good.
Can anyone fill in the blanks here please !!

Hi rob,
I love the way you are always so specific. Can you remember if it was a vegetarian dish or have you missed out the meat? You could always take a look in the mega index to see if you can find something similar.
