"A FREE workshop offering advice on bidding for business for the 2012 Olympics will be held next week.
The event will introduce the online 2012 procurement process, and offer a guide to producing policy statements, which is required by companies.
The workshop, on January 29, at the Essex Golf and Country Club, Earls Colne, from 7.45am until 9.30am, is one of a series being held across the region.
Stephen Castle, Essex County Council’s cabinet member for the 2012 Games, said: “These breakfast meetings are a great opportunity for local businesses to initially just test the water and investigate the idea of being involved in the Olympic experience. We hope to answer any questions and explain what it could mean being involved in the Olympic experience. I would urge anyone who owns or runs a local business to come along to a breakfast and find out more.”
The event, organised by Essex County Council’s 2012 legacy team and Business Link, will be chaired by Braintree district councillor Tim Wilkinson.
