So it's mainstream at last. The full article is worth a read, some scary figures.
Should get the houseprices down a bit

I do admire how alot of us brits stay positive in bad times.
But I notice any bad news posts get a bad response, we can't pretend it's all good.

Begs the question - what IS a depression? A recession is officially 2 sucessive quarters of negative growth, but a depression has never been defined. There is, of course, the old saying that a recession is when your neighbour loses his job and a depression is when you lose yours!0

I always thought that the word recession was invented to make things sound better than a depression. Wasn't the word depression invented because it sounded better than the word "slump"?
Now of course we have the "credit crunch" which sounds rather friendly, like a cereal bar or something. 0 -

Chucky erases most of what he posts, he's been caught out many times.
The Polaris World thing is a good case in point. The first time I took him up on it he claimed that he'd managed to get his deposit back ... and of course made a profit on the exchange rate
When I mentioned it again a week or two ago, this time he claimed to have flipped it ... making a profit of course.
Go figure, as the yanks say
Note to Chucky: Maybe erasing all your old posts isn't a good idea if you can't keep your lying fantasies straight.--
Every pound less borrowed (to buy a house) is more than two pounds less to repay and more than three pounds less to earn, over the course of a typical mortgage.0 -
!!!!!! - how about getting back on topic and discussing the point in question that you some what missed instead of trying to make this personal and throwing false accusations around.0
