redundancy and bankrupt advise needed

hi from a newbie
advise needed i am due to go bankrupt in feb and my employer is making me redundant in may what i wanted to know would the reciever automaticaly know if i have been made redundant

You have to tell them of any changes in circumstances including whilst BR any redundancy payment you may be getting.

but what if i get an early discharge and also i know someone who has gone BR in november and still hasnt heard from the reciever nearly 3mths later what happens then with so many BR at the moment and componies going bust surely they are taking longer to get around to cases ?

r1704, if you are going BR in Feb, it is highly unlikely you will get an early discharge in May. You have to declare any change in income to the OR, although the courts and the OR are getting busier it is again unlikely that you will be overlooked by the OR. If you are found out and sometimes the tax office will sometimes cross reference with the OR, you will be in big trouble. Just not worth the worry or consquences I am afraid.
