Hi everyone
just want to say the advice i received last week was wonderful, and felt like a million tonnes lifted from my shoulders.
got a couple of other q's, and can i say thanks again, to those who spent time to reply before. This should be government sponsored, but then they would ruin it probably. but its best advice ive had.
Now to my q's
A ccj registered 2004 for 4.2k.
1. i would like ot when get on feet later this year offer them a deal, through a third party- any suggestions here would help
2. also, is there any way to get it removed. I know some show settled is that really the best you can hope for for years??????
not much incentive to pay is it?
3. i have one other debt that an individual may (MAY) come after me for.
I signed a lease, and it was a business, but he put it in my name, but it was under duress. i havent seen him since, it was in nov 2002 i think, i stayed till oct 2004, just under 2 years.
the lease was for 3500-yr1 5000yr2, 5000 yr 3.
it was 3500 in yr 1, cos it was full of his crap, and he said he was paying towards clearing it.
I expressed concerns it might not be enough, and he said hes a reasonable man and we would talk then.
I was only there two years, and it nearly put me out of business, i never really got it clear.
he has not been in the country since.
I dont think hes too bothered, hes too rich (but im not stupid), so cant take it for granted that he will ask for 13500?
any advice could be worth its weight in gold here, as im very sketchy.
i just konw it was signed under duress, he was rushing out of the country, and on the undertaking he would help if it cost a lot.
By time i realised, he wasnyt going to iwas stuck there.
I know its a lease, but i am worried any other help will be great.
thanks in advance

Hi mate.
1) You can ask for a final settlement figure which they may agree to. I'm not sure what 5 you should be looking to pay though!
2) You won't be able to get it removed until 6 years after it was issued!
3) No offence meant but was it or was he a bit "dodgy"? If so I don't think you should worry too much about him coming after the money! Incidentally if no contact has been made for a debt in 6 years that debt becomes nil!0
