We have a High School Musical Party in Feb (Valentines day), got a wreath in red feathers for £1 (Xmas was £8 or £9), smart price pencils down to 16p a pack for the party bags, red tinsel for 10p each, red napkins for 20p, jelly beans 99p for a pack of 10. I didn't go near their party bag toys...far too expensive...managed to do 10 party bags for £4.50
Don't be pesimistic or optimistic...if you are realistic you will never be disappointed
