Alternative to dishwasher rinse aid?

Hi everyone,

I'm sure there was a post on here regarding an alternative to rinse aid, but I cant find it anywhere

I have run out.... anyone know if I can use something else instead of it?

Hi,
i use asda smartprice malt vinegar at 13p per bottle in mine.
Works a treat

HI, What your looking for is white vinegar. I have used it loads of times and it does work. It's also good as a Clothes softner, instead of using comfort. All you do is put the same amount of white vinegar into the rinse compartment of the dishwasher and Bob's your uncle. It will save you loads of money.

Thank you! Wasn't sure if the vinegar was used to just 'clean out' the machine on a hot wash, or if it could be used as a rinse aid too! Got some in the cupboard so will stick it in and see how it goes

And thanks for the tip as fabric conditioner - quite often run out of that too lol!
