I did some work in January, which I didn't think I'd be getting paid for but now I've been told I'll get £370 for it. :T Only a bit of web page development that I was doing as a favour but they insisted that I get paid (prob so they can call me up and ask for help again!). It'll only end up at about £280 after tax and NI but I'm dead chuffed anyhow. Won't add it to my sig until it hits my bank on the 20th but it's going to be a bumper month as I'm also getting paid fulltime as I'm now back from maternity leave .
Question is, do I use it for OH's debts or for my roof fund, which is in need of some dire attention as it's started leaking?!
What do most people use their £10 a day challenge money for?
LauraMummy to DS May 08 and DD Oct 09
Started joint IVA in Nov 09 - 13 payments down 47 to go!

Mine's going into my savings account which is looking decidedly pants at the moment lol! I'm not making much at the moment but it makes me feel better to know that there's at least a little money put away for emergencies (and by emergencies I mean lack of bus fare in the morning lol.....I highly doubt my savings could cover anything else at the moment!!)No trees were damaged in the posting of this message but a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.:wave:0

Hi Laurasbump
Use it for your roof, you need to have a roof over your head which wont leak, given the rain we're getting!! as for the 10 a day, i'm not using mine for anything at the moment, I'm debating whether to add it to my moving out fund, to bump it up to £53.37 LOL
xxFeb /make £5 a day Challenge £32.28/£120
Debt Balance Car £13,602.63 Provident £992.50 Parking/Traffic Fines £200!!
Moving Out Fund (savings) £0.86 :mad:0 -
Phew, I'm back on track - did a shift last week in a pub (additional to my full time job) and just picked up my wages and tips - £33.56 in total.
Annoyingly got taxed on it when I don't think I should have - but at least in April the challenge will be easy peasy when I claim back tax0 -

Laura
oooh, tough decision!
I pay for everything by creditcard (to get cashback on) and so I use my challenge money to pay off a big chunk of my credit card bill- so my wages from my day job I can put directly into savings0 -
I hope to get a free £10 electronic gift card when I go shopping on Friday. Amex are offering card members a free Selfridges £10 gift card if they spend £50 or more on their card in Selfridges between 1-28 February.:j If only I had known the other day when I was spending in there but hey ho, I have an appointment there on Friday so no doubt I will be spending the required amount to get £10 back:D
I use my 'free' money to treat myself:D0 -

homeofresearch seem to have finally caught up with the points and new site issues, just completed a survey and logged in to find my account up todate so have finally claimed £20 - with almost another 1000 points waiting to be collected. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
