  • Hi Guys

Wow you are all doing so well!
I haven't done much on this challange yet. Saved £250 on my buildings and contents as previously posted, yesterday I put 5 books on Amazon to sell and the first has sold today for £2.20 -every little helps!

Does overtime at work count twords this challange & what if I save money which was allocated to spend i.e. underspend on budgeted spend like groceries?

    Thanks

Good day for me today, five sales, 10p scratchy, 5p clicks & £3.01 in unfranked postage stamps soaked off envelopes overnight (is there anything as satisfying as peeling stamps off soaked paper??) :D

So that comes to £79.12 all in! :T

If only every day could be like today I'd be out of debt in no time! :rotfl:

Oh I've never thought of that with the stamps! I use LOADS of stamps too. Do you literally soak them?

Yep - lots of charities take donations of used stamps (a quick Google should reveal some!) they're also great for scrap-booking, card-making & general crafting - as well as other things (which I'm not saying, in case I get told off!)

Just fill a baking tray/etc with quite warm water, float the stamps in face down and in the morning peel off the paper and put to dry on a bit of greaseproof paper (we used to use kitchen paper....noooo! It's a nightmare picking bits of kitchen roll off them!)

It really is a strangely satisfying activity - I blame my misspent childhood! :D
