Was that the new Ikea in Southampton, Jacks? I drove past there on Friday - technically it was driving as I was in a car, but it would've been a lot quicker to walk...

NSD no. 12 for me today - I can practically smell the finishing line... ;)

 Yeah it was hon - and it was horrific. Poor old hubby nearly blew a gasket at all the traffic and queuing. If I didn't need his muscles to help me carry a bed base to the car and put it on the roof I would leave him at home and go and brave it alone. :o:D

When we'd been in there about twenty minutes (and moved about the same number of yards from the entrance) I remember thinking what the hell would happen if there was a fire? The place was packed to the gills - there'd be no getting people out quickly.

But the stuff is stylish (mostly) and the prices are good (mostly) so we're going to launch a breakfast-time guerilla raid and hopefully get in and out before the crowds have time to build. That's the plan anyway. :D

What brought you to this neck of the woods honeybun? I thought you were a bit further west?

Lula you'd have hated it. It was like the front row at a Take That gig with over excited people pressed up against you on all sides. (plus kids - lots and lots of hot, bored, wailing kids.  )

I almost had a punch up on the stairs on the way out when a bunch of "ladies" were jostling and complaining cos a man in front of them was moving slowly down the stairs. Anybody with eyes could see he had mobility issues, and I thought a bit of compassion was in order so I nipped (ok barged :o ) in front of the aforementioned "ladies" and made 'em wait a few seconds so that he could negotiate the steps carefullywithout anybody pushing him.

They didn't like it one little bit and started up on me then - but I gave them "the fierce landlady" look which has stood me in good stead throughout twenty years of managing bars and restaurants (and kids!) so they shut up and stood still for a sec.

It cheered hubby up anyway. :D:D:D

I dunno if I'm going to have an NSD today yet. We'll have to see!

   Well done to everybody who has hit their target already.

This is usually the part of the month where I get a bit envious of people who have already made it - especially Piquant who had the same 20 NSD target as me! :o:D:o:D:o

    Take care all,

    Love Jacks xxx :D

 Good work Piq. I admire your determination my lovely. That's the way this stuff gets done!

I hardly ever manage to hit target early - it's always a last minute scramble for me. (and I have the cheek to tell my daughter off for doing her homework the night before it's due! :o )

I'm just jealous of your success ;):o:D cos it's cold and TOTM and the sweetshop / bakery is calling me - but I've got to be good for both the sake of my trousers and my NSD target! (If I'd reached my target i'd probably be down there like a shot though!)

    You go girl!

Had a naughty vodka related spend day on Saturday so definitely a spend day - but not as bad as it would have been a couple of months ago before I starting posting on here :o NSD's today and yesterday though. Feeling confident as I rarely spend in the week, and definitely going to up my target next month...

One more today, I'm on late shifts this week so my options for spending should be minimal!
