Today will be a spend day for me as we are going shopping
Not been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/155
  • i'm up to seven nsd's so have three more to go, hopefully tomorrow and tuesday, and either friday or wednesday should do it. If been a bit more organised with food shopping, i could be up to my target now. However, as the politicians say 'lessons will be learnt'....
  • Today should be a nsd, not planning on doing much

Hiya Lulu and the NSD-ers! (Love saying that! :o:D )

Are you all better Lilmissmup? (Hope so chick. :grouphug: )

Ikea was hell on wheels and after queuing to get into the carpark, queuing around the car park and shuffling behind along slow moving queue of people up a 3 storey travelator and into the store then continuing to shuffle behind them because the store was rammed. After about two hours of this Hubby had a bit of fit and declared he'd had enough and we were going home!

This was before we'd found the bed base I wanted for my daughter's room or the lampshades and lamp I want for our living room and we never even got as far as pretty stuff such as rugs etc - but we did have a long dull [strike]walk[/strike] shuffle through kitchens.

So mental note to self: School holidays after a new shiny Ikea store has just opened is a bad bad time to go.

We may go back and actually buy something this week though since we have been living without lampshades since I decorated and got rid of all our pink fringed hand me down ones! :o(anybody got any Valium for the Hubster???)

This week is going to be a bit spendy all round I think. My fab £7 hairdresser has moved quite a long way away (back to where her family live, after the marriage she moved here for had broken up) so I've booked a haircut at our local neighbourhood salon for Tuesday. I'll be colouring my hair myself this week as well and Hubby is going to meet the boys from his old work for lunch, plus I'm hoping to have a girlie lunch with ummmm... the girls :o this week as well cos I haven't seen them for aaaaaaaages! And we need lots of fruit and veg as we do every week since my Mum got colon cancer.

We're still in negotiations with the bank about a final figure for our loan. I have suggested to Hubby that our bargaining position would be a lot stronger if he defaulted on the loan once he's on jobseekers and the £1 token payments are actually a reality - but being an honourable sort he wants to pay his debts now whilst he still can. (Foolish but lovely man!)

    Have a great week!

    Love Jacks xxx :D

PS We're on NSD number 16 which means we have 7 days left to get 4 more NSDS.

    We'll see huh? :D

  • A whole weekend without spending so 2 more NSDs to add. I might just make my target if I'm very good!

Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.
  • Think I've managed another one today, had quite a productive day cooking and a bit more decluttering, and more importantly no spending! Sadly all the stuff I'm getting rid of is stuff that wouldn't sell on ebay so it's all charity shop/freecycle/the tip, but still, I'm taking back control of my spare room!
  • Oh dear, another spend day for us....Hubby got some groceries to make baklava for a work do (yummy!) and I've decided to start making HM cards so needed to pick up a few supplies to get started (Got most of it from pound store and the rest on sale so not a big spend :D....) Tomorrow WILL be a NSD! There's only 6 possible NSDs left in the month and I need 4 to reach my goal.
I will try very hard not to spend any more money this week!
Debt at highest 01/01/2008- $79,385.32
    Debt now 01/03/2009 - $63,194.72

  • Finally had another NSD today, taking me to 8/14. This is a lot harder than I thought, but when I went for 14 I forgot we had half term in the middle so I don't feel as bad as I should! Need 6 out of 7 so highly unlikely but will give it my best shot!!
