I 'should' have around £250 left for 'fun' stuff but since I am £614 overdrawn after the dreaded xmas period I have none at all this month or next0

Hmm, starting next monthish as I've made a lot of changes I should have £1500 - £750 savings = £750
£750 - Rent and DDs = £335... but that will be minus a few more things in Feb due to me moving over phone providers.
That should be how much I'll have but I doubt I'll see it when I look in my bank!:ASaving for my future...0 -
Good thread loobie - I always wondered what the average was people have 'left' in their bank accounts to play with after everything else was paid for.
On average we have about £100 - £200, but it does get spent on boring things like postage, things for the house etc as well as the odd takeaway or treat out. There's never any of it left, I know that much!
This month, we have virtually none left though as we had to buy some DIY things - it will feel like a long month I think.0 -
Since sorting my finances with my parents recently, I have £171.00.
That is, for the next 3 months however. I took an interest free loan (£600) from my place of work which I'm paying off over 4 months, at £150 per month. Made the first payment in my last pay packet, still got 3 months left to run.
So in three months I should have £321.
I know I should maybe use some of this money to enable me to get rid of my debts quicker, but I'm starting to live comfortably and I'm reasonably happy with my current debt free date (see signature!).Capital ONE :£2,208.00 (£50.00 pm) . 1/4 of my monthly wages go to DD and board. I have a weekly budget which is my 'fun money' so £30 a week.
The rest I'm attempting to put into savings, I'm trying to make the best of living at home before I go out into the big grown ups world.0 -

I have three pots of "after" money (ie after everything has come out of my bank account electronically) and I am budgeting weekly
£20.00 - personal spends
£45.00 - "other"
£77.00 - give or take a few pennies for petrol and food shopping.
However to be honest it feels really tight, especially seeing how days out, or nights out and clothes etc will have to come out of the other budget. Last week was my first week and I had only 6p left out of other money! This week I might have about £8. Now I am seeing how I ran up my credit cards!Start Date: 27/11/2010
