hi i really want to start to look for a mortgage and take advantage of the current climate. my credit is not very good not because i have missed payments or anything thing like that its just due to the amount of searches i have done. does anyone know how long these will stay on my file for?? i currently have about 7k debt which i am managing but i have no deposit. i have seen government incentives where they help you get your foot on the ladder but really i am just looking for some advice to see how as this momment without a deposit if i have a chance of getting a mortgage. has anyone looked at 100% mortgages? are they a good idea? i would really be gratefull if someone gave me some advice thanks

You need to focus on getting rid of your debt and saving up a 10% deposit. There are no 100% mortgages available. House prices are still coming down and few people think they'll be rising again in the near future. Sort out your finances just now and you'll be in a much better position - if you need help in paying off your debt then go to the Debt Free Wannabee forum as they can help you save money on your outgoings.0
