need mortgage help

hi i really want to start to look for a mortgage and take advantage of the current climate. my credit is not very good not because i have missed payments or anything thing like that its just due to the amount of searches i have done. does anyone know how long these will stay on my file for?? i currently have about 7k debt which i am managing but i have no deposit. i have seen government incentives where they help you get your foot on the ladder but really i am just looking for some advice to see how as this momment without a deposit if i have a chance of getting a mortgage. has anyone looked at 100% mortgages? are they a good idea? i would really be gratefull if someone gave me some advice thanks

You need to focus on getting rid of your debt and saving up a 10% deposit. There are no 100% mortgages available. House prices are still coming down and few people think they'll be rising again in the near future. Sort out your finances just now and you'll be in a much better position - if you need help in paying off your debt then go to the Debt Free Wannabee forum as they can help you save money on your outgoings.

Hi jonny,

Have you done a credit history check? Theres a couple online which have free trials. Any missed payments, CCj's etc will last on your credit file for 6 years.
