Luckily they wash the playing shirts for them, its just t shirts that he trains in, shorts and socks that come home! He is sensible enough to only use old, dark t-shirts

I think our sports wash does start with a rinse, so the stuff comes out clean - I'm just worried about all the mud going into the machine.
I will have to check the filter as well, good point!0 -

I had a major rant last night about muddy kit going in the laundry bin with all the rest of the clothes - have threatened that the next time it happens I shall be adding some of somebody's white work shirts into the mix too and giving it a stir....!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

What washing powders or liquids do you use and do you use hot or cold wash ?.
Just having to start washing rugby kit. 1st week I scrubbed and scraped with Vanish bar and put in machine with a scoop of Astonish Oxyplus and it came out clean.
2nd week - quick scrub with vanish bar (no patience) and scoop of AO and not so clean.
3rd week - overnight soak in Superdug biotex type stuff - although water dirty not much come out.
Mind you washing machine is 20 years old ! so maybe should get round to new machine as well soon.0 -
Years ago I used to wash all the football kit for the whole team when my OH played. Luckily my OH worked at Makro & one of the reps used to give him free boxes of Horizon washing powder, it used to get every mark & stain out, I think it's an industrial cleaner.Dum Spiro Spero0
