Aww congrats Notty. Is BF an MSEer too?

He is an unregistered lurker of the forums, when he has the time. He is pretty MSE in general but will still splurge on the odd pair of shoes :) That said, he has never been in debt (apart from mortgage, but I'm not counting that).

I just wondered because I know you're doing the live on £4k challenge but if he's MSE savvy that wil help you keep on the straight (no pun intended) and narrow:p

  • Hi all. I had a bit of a naff start to the day when the guy I thought would do mobile dent repairs told me that my car was too badly damaged and needed to go to a bodyshop  and should cost roughly £300 to fix (the lip of the part of the bumper which goes around the light is slightly out of shape and causing the light to fall out). Unfortunately it's an MOT matter which would cause it to fail the MOT

Sooooo, bodyshop it is then. I've also got an emissions warning light on and the MOT is due on 17th Feb so I can seriously see myself spending upwards of £500 to goodness knows what over the next month on my car just to keep it legal and on the road. Bloody cars.
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

Woo hoo! Just checked bank account and I had nearly £90 credit at the end of the month just before salary went in. Can't remember the last time I got to the end of a month without going OD - especially not in January:j :j :j . And thats with putting a huge chunk extra to my OD account. I've moved it to my savings account while I work out which debt to chuck it at (probably OD though)

Right - shops here I come!
