I wouldn't dare ask my venue for a discount! It's the AA Hotel of the year so they would just laugh in my face! EEK!

I guess it depends on how busy they are

I know my venue could re-allocate my spot in a flash, so I wouldn't consider even asking.

Do you prefer the hotel venue? £500 is quite a saving if you like the other one.

i like them both about the same maybe the one offering a discount a little bit more but they were more expensive now with the discount they're both about the same so i dunno what to do..... its gonna be in oct so it's out of season and i know the other venue isnt busy as someone i know works there and told me so.. mmmm
  • Why don't you just go along ask them. Tell them you have £*** amount of money, that would be what they quoted less say, £250, and see what they come up with.
  • I would def try I got about £1200 knocked off the total cost. Good luck!

We are going to speak to our venue on Saturday about costs etc. I did consider mentioning a discount but considering they are fully booked every Saturday in May, June, July and August 2010 I reckon they'd tell me to take a run and jump!

You can only ask, they can only say no and even if they do say no then you are going to be paying roughly the same as the other hotel anyway. Go with your gut instinct.

    Good luck!
