Hello everyone this is my first post and I really hope its in the right place...
I really need some advice. Im 18 years old, I have a btec in sport and a 10 gcses C+. I currently work part time in a supermarket. I finished college in July and i really dont no what i want to do as a career. I love sport and fitness but im not sure if a gym instructor is a good job and how to get qualified?
What sort of Careers are on the up at the moment in England? Does anyone have any links to help me with career advice?
I am open to giving anything a go, im edging towards gym instructor or personal trainer but any suggestion would be welcome as i am not sure what i want to do really.
Thanks Chris

As you are under 19, Connexions are the people that you should see for careers guidance; they still have qualified Careers Advisers working for them as well as the more generalised Personal Advisers. Make sure you stipulate this when making an appointment with them.0

hi chris, your local leisure centre sounds like a good place to start. They usually advertise in local papers under "council opportunities" or you could check out leisure opportunities on google. you could start off as a leisure assistant and then branch into another post like Activities & development Officer or sport and recreation development for youth. Once you get your foot in the door at a leisure centre there will be plenty of opportunity to go on courses and specialise in the areas you are interested in. good luck0
