worried about rejection!

Hi, Just after some advice....
Me and my partner are at the stage that we want to buy a house. We are currently renting and have a deposit to put down.
The only thing that is for concern is my credit rating. I have poor credit due to a previous relationship in 2006, which my ex left me in debt and didn't bother to pay his half of the mortgage and bills etc.... I don't have CCJ's and merely just late payments frommy previous relationship which in turn has left nasty foot prints on my credit reports.
All my debt has been paid off and i have been debt free for 3 years now and all my payments over this period have been on time.
I am very worried that we will get rejected because of my poor credit history due to something that happend in 2006.
Can anyone offer any advice???
Many thanks,
Susiexx

Hi Susie
What size deposit do you have in relation to the property value?0 -
spend a couple of pounds on an experian credit report if you havent before. it will leave it obvious that you have recently checked you're credit rating, but it may well be worth it and also give you a good idea exactly where you stand..
you're credit "repairs" after 7 years. so consider when you started sorting your money situation out. if you have been debt free for 3 years, how long has your debt been organised? it is important to consider how long you have been paying your debts when the creditors want them paid!0 -

We have a 20% deposit on a £115k property, although its on the market for £125k but we would put an offer of £115k.Bank Charges refunded from Halifax £2600Bank Charges refunded from halifax joint account £554Credit Card Charges refunded £300 plus interestI'm proud to be dealing with debt!!! :T0
