Sheffield Anecdotal

Spoke to a Sheffield EA today regarding a property up for OIRO £170000. I thought that I would ask her how many people are interested and what was the realistic selling price.

She told me that 4 people had viewed and another 9 are lined up. She did mention that bids are at £150,000 (I wouldn't offer more than £130k in the market).

She tried to flog me a semi at £175,000, straight away she told me that they would take £10k less. I just laughed at her about the small reduction, she went to say that it was originally on at £215k.

Well seems that prices are coming down slowly. Told that I am no rush to buy and get a year or two for prices to come to max level which is £130k.

Work mate who is an amateur BTL has now turned bearish and reckoned that the £170k house is only worth £140k is the climate.

One of my work mates went bearish too. He became all furry, diurnal, an adept climber, developed an acute sense of smell and eats nothing but salmon.

I have nothing of use to add on the Sheffield housing scene.

It was a pretty good gag. I can sell you a secondhand influenza joke if you're interested.

I'd watch where you're stepping if you venture into any nearby woods.
