Really Need Help

Ive read these pages for some time and have finally plucked up the courage to go Bankrupt.
My debt is personal and business. Ive buried my head for so long that i have personal guarantees against me from the business, my business partner is also responsible but hasnt a means to pay , will the total debt be wiped with my bankruptcy although he is also considering it? Its become such a state because ive ignored letters so long and dont know who or what is owed in full!
im terrified and need help. My biggest fear was always my fiancee and our house, luckily enough the place is sitting in negative equity so we wont be losing our home.
I just need to know how i fill the forms in when i dont know exactly what i owe. What happens to unpaid tax when i was self employed which i dont know how much is due, ive been so careless.
I feel like im finally turning things round, i have a new job now and im slowly getting myself back to normal but i know i cant ignore these debts anymore.
Ive spoken to cab etc.. and they agree this is the right solution to take. can anyone else give me advice?thanks

Hi Scotty and welcome to the forum
re filling in the forms, even if you do not know how much you owe or who you owe, it will all be found by the OR.... all you can do is put down as much as you can remember on the forms and tell the OR that you cannot remember everything when you have your interview. Any joint debts will fall due to the other party unless they do go bankrupt too.
I believe unpaid tax can be included in your BR but I cannot say for certain, someone will be along to confirm this.
:T Congratulations on your new job and well done for getting your life back in order. :T
Glad that you have taken advice from cab.
Have you gotten an appointment with your court yet? The link to the courts is in the sticky at the top of the forum.
And the next step would be to prepare a statement of affairs which you can do at www.makesenseofcards.co.uk and format it for MSE and post it here to get advice on it.

Thanks Donna. Due to the fact its going to cost about £500 im going to do it after payday on the 2nd of February. Its something ive considered for so long but you just never think YOU need to do it!
i think im mostly worried about the OR interview. Will they think im not cooperating if i cant provide all info and details, dates etc... its just been that much of a tough time ive needed to get my homelife in order and have ignored everything else! i hope i dont sound a drama queen!!
i need help probably on a statement of affairs, for obvious reasons i want to leave as little as possible. My mrtgage is joint etc... i suppose im just nervous in case the or trys to catch me out or thinks im holding stuff back!0 -
The OR won't think you are being uncooperative if you are telling the truth and cannot remember, lots of people are in the same position having just put it to the back of their mind for however long.... You can only do your best and remember what you can.
if you post up your soa, we can tweak it for you and tell you what things you can increase or what is now allowed etc - the OR won't set out to try and catch you out and it is usually pretty obvious from peoples bank statements in the months before BR that they have not had an easy time of things or they have just juggled the debt about as long as possible to try avoid going BR.
