How long until a lender does anything with a repossessed house?

Our house was subject to repossession in November which is when the court order was obtained giving us 28 days to leave the property (although of course we had surrended the keys long before then).
In real terms, the house became the legal property of the mortgage company on the 2nd December which was officially our 'get out' date.
Since then, it appears that nothing has actually happened with the house. My credit file has not been updated with any repossession info from CML, the amount owing has continued to increase. Having done a quick 'drive by' the house the other day, it really seems no-one has been there - a copy of the Yellow Pages is still propped up against the front door as it was two months ago - there are no signs or boardings outside, no adverts in papers or internet - Nothing!
I know I really shouldn't let this bother me as the shortfall will be included in the BR when eventually sold but I still can't help wishing something would happen, as a bit of closure if nothing else. They wouldn't have pulled the plug on the repossession after the court order would they??
Or is it common for proceedings to take this long? Knowing the mortgage company, they have probably lost the keys I sent!
I guess they might be waiting for the market to pick up again but I was sure they would have at least been to the property by now - after all, they were quick enough to keep sending debt collectors round there before the court order!!
Maybe I am just expecting things to happen too quickly....

hiya we left our house before repossession too. but the date is really another 28 days after your get out the house date as this is the warrant for eviction date where the baliffs will go in and sort house out for sale - they even mowed our lawns LOL then it was another couple of weeks before we saw it for sale (which it still is!)
hope that helps - dont worry about it anyway its not your concern now and as long as you have included it in your br forms you are well awayBR 9th Jan 2009 - Discharged 9th Jan 2010

Ok thanks, yes I've had it confirmed many times verbally it will be included and in a separate letter from the OR too, which I know is the process for VR cases.
I just thought it wierd that they hadn't entered the house some two months after and with not seeing an entry against my CML record on the credit report, a worry was just nagging in the back of my mind...!
It wouldn't surprise me if it was an issue with the keys. The mortgage company had so many different departments in different locations around the country, that they are probably shipping it round the country as we speak. I do still have their letter confirming receipt of the keys however!!0
