Quidco and topcashback

I keep seeing references to both of these cashback sites. Have not come across either before so have looked at both websites. Both seem to good to be true!

Any feedback, good or bad would be very helpful - thanks.

I used to use both. But Topcashack differs from Quidco as it can pay more than 100% if you are a loyal customer and there is no annual fee its free to join

There has been a number of issues with Quidco over recent months

    1. They lost a affiliate network affiliate window so there may be some retailers who are not covered.

    2. Payment problems due to certain merchants mainly insurance

    Hi Savemoney
I see that they still haven't replied personally to you after I posted on their insurance blog and on the MSE referals posts.

I can only talk to quidco, I have been with them since August last year, and have had nearly £620 back. I have had cashback from '3' and London Victoria Insurance, along with Privilege Insurance - but i have heard of people having problems with insurance and in particular '3'.

I can only speak as I find, and Quidco have been always very responsive whenever I have had an issue with stuff not tracking.

I have recommended a load of different people to quidco and heard no complaints so far.

I personally decided to pick one and put everything thru it on the basis that I could see a bigger pot. As for those vendors not on quidco - well I buy from somebody who is as long as they are cheaper/same price, if not then I buy it without cashback.

I can only speak for Quidco, but my experience has been very good. Most purchases track with no problems, most companies pay up with no problems. However:

Dont buy anything you werent going to buy anyway. Cashback is not guaranteed.

Having said that, it can be fantastic, eg my home insurance this year was £51, but I got £68 cashback, so they're paying to insure me!
  • Hi there,

I'd echo the above comments about cashback - don't bank on getting it everytime, there are multiple reasons why it might not track or take an age to work its way into your bank account.

That said, as the main network that doesn't work with Quidco I'd recommend TopCashback or CashbackKings as they carry our exclusive merchants that you can't find on Quidco such as Currys, Dixons, Travelodge, Boden, Toys R Us, Comet, New Look, npower etc.

    Thanks,

I've only used Quidco and it's been great. I haven't had a problem with tracking and any queries I've had have been dealt with promptly.

In the 18 months I've been with them I've had approx £500 cashback.
  • I joined Quidco in November and was getting concerned as I hadn't received any cashback but lo and behold i received my first payment this week : )

I too use Quidco, I have had some problems with cashback not being paid and others not being verified, but they have good customer service and if you message them they get back to you quickly and keep you upto date with everything.

IN 3 years I have received £350 back from Quidco, that is money I wouldn't have otherwise had.

When I book holiday hotels,I am alway reminding myself which booking agents pay out,so I often go with expedia if it gets me another 5% or so.
I always also look who gives nectar points in addition.

With insurance I choose the best policies, then check if it works out cheaper with the quidco cashback.I never rely on getting the cashback in case I don'y get it,which would have been a false economy

I only used cashback kings recently, after I settledon Sheilas wheels for my home insurance policy, then discovered cashbackkings gave £30 cashback.Event though they were advertising this,(although shown as "suspended",and many negative reports on them paying out) I chased up the cash (first time I have ever had to do this-and did eventually get it,so another £30 up!!).

Now before I buy anything i always think "Is it on quidco?"-and it usually is.

don't forget to use the casback sites maximizer on this site.
  • Like some of the previous posts, I was wary of joining Quidco. However, since Aug 2007 i've received £776 cashback!!- mainly insurance and utilities. I use Mozilla solely for Quidco and clear my cookies after every session. Never had any refusals althouhg some insurances take time to validate. This is money I would never have had if I'd not used acashback site.I've yet to try Topcashback. Cheers Quidco!!
