I have just received my letter from the IVA saying "Regrettably, the IVAs are no longer sustainable".
I have just rang my local county court to see if we need the Certificate of termination or the letter I received would be good enough..... he didn't know it was up to the judge! (so I think it best if we get a CoT)
He is also sending me out the forms to fill in for bankruptcy...... scary!!

Yes it is very!
Just ask as many questions as you want. Those forms can be mind boggling so don't worry about asking too many.DxFree impartial debt advice available from: National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 | The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 | Find your local Citizens Advice Bureau

Its up to you, it will cost £495 unless you are on benefit, then you will get £150 knocked off. Check with your court to see what timescale they work to and gauge it from there. If your mind is set that BR is the only option, then i would say the sooner the better0 -
You make the date after you have taken advice from one of the debt charities, know that you will have the money together and forms filled.
So if a debt charity says it is your best option and you know that you can get the fees by the end of February, then ring the court and see what they have available then. Also time it for after you have been paid and all your essential DD's have gone out.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
I did ring CCCS but they didn't really help me because I'm on the IVA, has this happened to anyone else????? but now that it has OFFICIALLY failed I should maybe ring them again??0

Have a chat with National Debtline. Be patient though a few on here have reported that it has taken half an hour to get through with their finger on redial.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0

Yes we have had several recently where their IVA has failed. I would ring CCC's again then ring your local court. Some do drop in systems, whilst others are by appointment only.Do come back and tell us how you get on please.DxFree impartial debt advice available from: National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 | The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 | Find your local Citizens Advice Bureau
