New LCD Cinema System Help..

Morning All, I Hope Everyone is well on this fine morning..

I've managed to get myself out of debt now, and im quite happy now with a few quid in the bank. I've decided its time to treat myself now as me and my other half have just moved into a bigger place together..

I would like to buy a new Flat Screen Telly thingy..
Fell in love with the Samsung Ones, 40" or bigger would be nice, LCD, 1080p, etc etc, the mutts nutts kinda thing, But i'm also after a Cinema Speaker system with it too..


Suppose im just putting it out there to see if anyone knows of any bargain shopping places where i might be able to get a package a bit cheaper or somthin..

Hrmm, Ive been told to steer clear of Plasma and Get LCD instead??

No mate that advice is based on lack of education. I often hear that myth. Good LCD's and Plasma's nowadays should effectively last around 5 years minimum. But mind you some come with a free 3 or 5 year guarantee.

Anything over 42in go with a plasma for crisp black colours

Anything below go with an LCD

that's the basic rule of thumb, but stick to the heirarchy, if you cant afford pioneer, move down to panasonic, if you cant afford them, jump down to sony/lg/philips, and obviously it goes down from there to the likes of not very well known brands and budget brands such as teco, bush, etc
