Just a couple of things

Hi guys, I have my bankruptcy tomorrow :o and just want a couple of questions I have answered that have been playing on my mind.

Do I take 2 signed copies of the statement of affairs and £500 is that correct?

There is money that has been set-up to go into my bank account on Friday, I know that it will be frozen and I won’t be able to get any money out of my account but what will happen here? Will the money bounce back to my works account? If it bounces back do I ask work for a cheque until I have an account I can bank it with?

Some courts want 1 copy and some 3 copies, so check with your court. You sign them in front of the clerk on the day.

    Who do you bank with?

Get a Co-op Cashminder or Barclays Cash account open asap.

If the money goes in to the frozen account then ring your OR and ask if it can be released as you need it for essential living expenses. He should fax your bank and ask them to release the funds. It may take couple of days.

Can you ask your work to pay you by cheque this month as you are changing accounts and the new one is not quite set up yet.

    No problem.

Can I ask why you didn't open an account earlier?

An account with Barclays or Co-op? Ok with a comment like you have just made this is going to sound a little stupid, I was under the impression that I wasn’t able to open the account until things were sorted.
