LIDL Offers not available

Why is it when Lidl have a great weekly offer on non food good such as the recent Heart Monitor Watch recently they are never available.
This has happened before with many of their offers(DVD Player , Vacuum).I've tried different stores and going as early as possible- but no stock is there- and staff are unintrested or clueless:confused:
It got so bad taht i wrote and complained to Lidl about these "Phantom" goods- why is the supply so poor? .I received a rambling distraction reply which didn't answer my question:confused:
As soon as the Heart Monitor Watch was advertised i knew 100% it was not going to be availble - all the other offers for that week were - but as i was proved correct not the watch:confused:
Has anyone else had these probs with Lidl?

  • Yes, have the same problem.

Last week I was asked by OH to get him two 20ltr jerry cans... lo and behold no joy, in both my local and one other tried on the same day.
Happened a few times before as well, really frustrating

I agree it's a bit like that. From TV's to cheap veg, the stock is always limited. I did get a heart monitor watch last year though, they had plenty then as I recall. Once they had these drills on offer and I queued for one and got one. However they all sold within the first minute of opening. They do occasionally have a new delivery later in the week so keep checking.

I think they do get the stock in, but like people said people get down there early and buy the lot, usually to sell on.

When the veg offers have been on, I have seen people going in and just buying everything they can, literally trolley loads full, they must be restaurant owners or something in order to get through it all, but still no help to other customers.

They should have stricter policies of say 2 items that are on offer per customer, if they don't already??

yes i have the same problem with my lidl all the time... in fact i actually believe that they deliberately keep back items for themselves in my store. i went for the dvd player on the day it was on offer i asked the manager and he knew nothing about it, but i know the girl on the tills and she told him to look in the back ,and sure enough he came back with one in his hand, i asked for another cos my mum wanted one too and he said that there was only one!!! how can he know nothing of a delivery yet when he looks there is just 1... do you ever get a delivery of just 1!!!! i dont think so. bunch of lying people at my store.
and it wasnt that people had turned up early and bought them cos the manager said he had no idea about a dvd player that was on offer!

  • my hubby works there and to be honest some of the offers are so limited in stock, its ridiculous! they often send in 1-2 items of a special sale item and that's it!! When its sold, they're gone and they never know when they will get the next lot in.

Store managers get very little information from HO, and if they do it can be very last minute,
  • I've just emailed LIDL about inadequate stock - being sold out within hours or even minutes of the first day on sale. I told them that, in my experience, ALDI always has sufficient stock of their special offers to last several days. I really wanted that remote weather station today!!!

They probably do this on purpose- to get people to the store in the hope they will buy other products.

That's because your OH appears to have given you duff information.

It was Aldi selling the 20l jerry cans, not Lidl ;)

Aldi generally have more stock than Lidl for sure. Keep the receipt on the electrical items. The 3 yr guarantee works really well. I did have a TV that broke and within the year they replaced it. It broke again on 2yrs and 11 months and they came and fixed it. I guess that does not say much about the quality, but to be fair I got plenty of use.+
