Anyone managed to get a good deal on a used car out of any of the 5 BMW dealers here. I am thinking of changing soon and have noticed a lack of used cars in Bavarian and not the usual selection in Prentice.

BMW dealers here are not selling the same volume of new cars this January, hence the scarcity of quality trade-ins.

yep thats very true the sales of new BMWs is down A LOT the last couple of months so they're gonna have less trade ins, also the way things are at the minute none of the car dealers are wanting to have too much second hand ones hanging round their necks at one time.

I was speaking to one of the senior salesmen in bavarian and a lot of people are buying 'nearly new' instead of 'new, and they are struggling to keep up with demand. They are having to go to england to buy said used cars - apparently of 25 at a time, such is the demand.

check out the www.bmw.co.uk used car search and search for the whole of the UK. Prices vary by thousands between dealers on the same spec & year of cars.

If you're going to buy a Nearly New or older Second hand car do it soon.. Was speaking to a man in the trade and he recons that now that the Car Manufacturers are/have cut production massively, there will be less cars comming through onto the second hand market as the year goes on so good second hand cars will rise in price (We're talking older cars here, 3~5 years, not 1 year old) Makes sense!!

Noticed this on all the NI dealers web sites, the majority of 'cars coming soon' are all English reg, they are selling cheaper than current NI registered stock too.

They will be mostly ex lease company cars, much bigger market for them on the mainland than here
