benefit bonus

im unsure what its called, i may have got this wrong, just something i heard, but do you get an extra 4 weeks rent paid and a bonus for starting employment ?

    If you've signed-on for 6 months and get a job, you get a 4-week run-on of your housing benefit payments.

    The Jobfinders Grant (same eligibility) is £100. I think it's £250 for Lone Parents.

  • There is also the In-Work Credit (IWC), which I'm not very up on, but I think it's £40 p/w for a year for people with kids (formerly it was just for Lone Parents, I think).
