in Cutting tax
Hi,
Got my new tax code this week and found that it has company medical insurance on it, I have canceled this nearly 2 years ago because it was costing me more than i was getting out of it ( £15 a month for 1 dental claim every 6 months £12 each)
Iv obviousely noty taken any notice of me last tax code (Stupid me) on thsi tax code it was worth £400 so probably the same for last year, how can i claim this back is it possible to claim back or just take it as a lesson learnt ?
Thanks
Ps I blame my salaries department for not telling inland revenue of the change am i right ?

I should just call the tax office to tell them. They will probably ask you to send in copies of your P11D which details any benefits via your employment.0

It is up to you to notify the tax office - your employer will not do it for you. I doubt if they will need your P11d`s - just write to them - tell them when payments stopped. They will adjust your tax code and look into a refund for previous years...result !I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes0
