My wedding diary!

Well, its just over 5 months to my big day, and I thought I would keep a diary to keep me on track with the planning! Days seem to be going so quick recently, I am sure that it will be here before I know it, its quite scary!
Anyway, this is what we have sorted so far:
Church - Booked
Reception - Booked - Having it in the function room of a nice Italian resturant, due to numbers, we are having an afternoon wedding and an evening reception that goes all the way through. Not having sit down meal, having a hot and cold buffet instead but still doing all the formal stuff like table plans, speeches etc.
My dress - Ordered and 50% deposit paid. Going to chase them up soon as they said it was expected around January time and I am getting a bit twitchy! Also ordered shoes and tiara, just veil, underskirt and corset to sort out now.
Bridesmaid dresses - Bought 4 of them, one of my bridesmaids is going to be 7 months pregnant so need to sort her out with one nearer to the time. Also got their gifts (a white gold necklace and earing set to wear on the day) just their shoes to get now.
Flower girl dresses - Picked the ones I want, but waiting til around 2 months before til I order them (from Next) as I don't want them to have growth spurts and not fit! Also need to sort their shoes, I have bought their gifts, some books to write about their day in (similar to a babies firsts book)
Invites - Making my own, bought all the stuff to make them and I am slowly getting there!!
Wedding rings - Mine is bought and paid for, OH isn't having a new one, he is just recycling his engagement ring.
Transport - Car has been booked, its lovely, an old Rolls Royce I think it is... Dad sorted it out for me anyhow!
Reception decorations - Booked the chair covers and table runners today, going to sort out the Balloons within the next week or so, need to go to one more shop as I think they will be the cheapest.
Photographer - Booked and 50% deposit paid
Honeymoon - Booked and deposit paid, going to Dominican Republic.
Cake - Auntie doing it for me, need to let her know my colours so she can get cracking.
I think that is about it....Someone shout at me if I have missed things off!
Still feel like I have so much more to do. Need to sort out my hair and makeup, the suits for the men, flowers, hotel for wedding night and then somewhere for 2 nights in Manchester before honeymoon....
I can see me being glad that its over and done with once it comes round!

I have been stressing the last few weeks about it, wish they had let me know! Slowly getting there with the rest of the plans.
I booked in for mine and my sisters & mums hair on Saturday, having it done at Toni & Guy on the day, booked in for 10am and they said we should all be out by 12:15pm. Wedding is at 3pm, do you think that will be more than enough time to get everything else sorted? All I will have to do is get dress on and make up!
Ordered the balloons for the reception as well, got a really good deal, may have to add a few more arrangements to it but will confirm once I know my final numbers and the lay out of the tables etc. Having an arch behind the top table and over the cake stand and then a set of 3 balloons on each table, burgandy and ivory (closest we could get to my pinky/purple bridesmaid dresses) and also burgandy runners down the tables.
Also spoke to the florist, we are going to firm up colours and designs this weekend when she is not in the shop (doing them herself, rather than through the shop which means I will save about 50%).
Found some lovely shoes for my bridesmaids so bought them also, just need to get 2 more pairs for the older bridesmaids, hoping to get 1 this week and then go shopping with the other as she cannot wear heals so will need something different.
We have decided on the mens suits (frock coats from Moss Bross) so going with a few of them on Saturday to see if they look ok.
Went to see the vicar last night and did our Banns application, need to ring the vicar at our local parish church to do the same there, hopefully he won't try and be picky that we are not getting married in his church. Decided on the music coming in and out and on the reading, but still need to pick the hymns. Also got a date for the rehersal!
Its all go and I am very excited!0
