Discharged.. need help please with SA

Hubby was BR, discharged at the end of 2006.
He was/is self employed, allowed to carry on trading because he was a sole trader (painter and decorater)
Anyway, we did not receive a tax return to fill out and have realised with a nasty jolt that this coming deadline this week would be our first since the discharge.

To cut a long story very short, he didnt do much work throughout that year, as we lived off my wages, but he did have some income.

Should we print off a return from the Inland Revenue website and get it posted to them? I dont imagine that the PIN number would come in time to get it filled in online.

Any other hints and advice gratefully received

Didn't he have to submit a tax return every year? When did he go BR?

  • Not been sent one since the BR, however I am aware that the 07/08 tax year has to be submitted now, and he was working (Seld employed) throughout that year
