Getting or not getting payments whilst on Income Support?

Just wondering if anyone had any advice please. I am currently on Income Support and CSA are currently taking 56 pounds per week from my ex. I have 36 pounds deducted weekly from my IS and since Xmas my ex is not paying on time and having to be chased up for them to be made my debit card. I am now behind with my payments but the weeks he is has not paid I am not getting my money made up by IS so am being left short. Is there anyway I can push to get my payments paid directly out of his wages instead of wondering when and if I am going to get a payment? Does anyone know how it works? I have spoke to them and I am not getting any further, I have wrote to IS to let them know I am 2 weeks behind but have not heard anything, Is anyone else on IS having these problems?

ive had the same prob's IS say its up to csa to chase for arrears so every time my ex dosent earn enough time off from work ect, my money's short too..
btw my ex has the money taken straight out of his wages by employer dosent make any difference

Can you work out what you've been receiving since OCT against what was due i.e 16 weeks @ 56.00 = £896.00, if he's paid only £784.00 split the difference of 16 weeks and thats what your recieving on average weekly = £49.00. The csa will be able to verify if the I/S question it.0

well after the ex stopping his payments for a few weeks I had let Income Support know and had to put it in writing, anyway, it took them about a month to get back to me and paid me what he hadn't paid. in the meantime CSA have got on his case and he is almost up to date now so I now have an over payment of Income Support and by the time they read my latest letter I will owe them loads. I spoke to a memeber of staff at IS and he agreed it is making things hard and they are ending up with alot more paperwork. I just wish they could go back to the old way of giving you what you were allowed and keeping the rest. To make things worse this week the ex picked up my son for the first time in months and told him he couldn't do nothing with him because he pays CSA instead, yes, when he feels like it :mad:0

Not exactly, only if when he's chased for non payment, he refuses to pay. However, if he has had a DEO warning notification in the last 6 months, and has missed two consequative payments, the is no reason why they CSA can't impose one. Bare in mind though that a DEO can take 6-8 weeks to set up before payment, and even then it is never guareented it will be paid at the same time monthly, however this is depending on the employer. Some can take the mick, and leave it for weeks and weeks and then send a payment in when we chase them, or some are really good and send it in like clockwork. Its a roll of the dice. :j0
