Adding items to credit records

Hello,
I have a BT phone line and I'm always up to date with my bills for it, my rent is always paid in full, on time, but this isn't reflected in my credit reports. Nor are the regular payments towards my IPA recorded.
I'm sure that a record showing that I make the payments on time and in full, would help my credit rating. So can I get Equifax, Experian and CallCredit to add these items to my credit file?
Thanks in advance.

Account conduct history is added by the lender not the credit reference agency, therefore it is the lender who decides what information if any to report.rcosgrove wrote:Hello,

If you are keen to add positive history to a file then a good starting point are home shopping catalogues ( Littlewoods / Freemans Ect ) and a credit card with a relatively low limit, if these accounts are managed correctly they will soon start to report a “positive” history to your file held with the credit reference agency’s:rolleyes: It’s hard enough remembering my opinions - without remembering my reasons for them :rolleyes:0 -
the regular payments towards your IPA should not feature on your credit report. The payments to the IPA are not a lendor/debtor relationship. And being in a IPA means you are bankrupt so not going to be good on your credit report anyway. This is if i have understood correctly and you are paying an Income Payments Agreement to your trustee in bankruptcy.0

Thanks for the replies.
Problem is, with my credit rating I can't get a credit card or an account at a home shopping catalogue. If you are keen to add positive history to a file then a good starting point are home shopping catalogues ( Littlewoods / Freemans Ect ) and a credit card with a relatively low limit...
I thought that showing that you were making IPA payments and weren't defaulting would have been a good thing. And being in a IPA means you are bankrupt so not going to be good on your credit report anyway. And I've been discharged for over a year, which is recorded in my record files (made damn sure of that). The period of an IPA can last longer than the bankruptcy, so being in an IPA doesn't automatically mean you're insolvent.0
