Transferring a mortgage to a partner

Hi,

Is it possible to transfer a mortgage/deeds to another person without a sale? The propety is in negative equity which I presume has some bearing on whether it is even possible.

    It is possible!
    May need a solicitor.
    May need agreement from any mortgage lender - who will probably want a full application if the person is not currently named on the mortgage.

    Wouldn't the other person be allowed to apply for a mortgage on that property?
