if i broke my wrist playing football and told i cant work for 9-10 weeks is there anything i would be entitled to other than stat sick pay

You may be able to work with your arm in plaster. Even if you do do physical work, your employer may ask you to do something lighter for the time being. Or you could offer!0

Unfortunatley statutory sick pay is all most are entitled to, your contrtact probabily says full pay is at the discretion of the company.
Were you playing in a affiliated league game etc? There is a benelovent fund set up by most FA's0
