hi, hopefully someone will be able to help me quickly.
for an essay im writing it implys that the 'subject' will have to pay tax on an insurance payout, the payout is £149,000 in relation to flood damage of the house.
i didnt believe you paid tax on an insurance payouts, but this has definately thrown me.
hopefully someone can help or point me in the right direction.

No tax on insurance claims. There is an insurance premium tax; 5% I believe.0
