Advice on self employed stock holding

Hi

I am due to petition for bankruptcy imminently however for the past year my partner(not business partner) has been purchasing stock for me to sell to try to keep the business afloat and allowing me to keep the profit only taking the stock cost back

All stock purchases are with their name on the invoices or paid by their credit card

What will the OR say about that?

Help please

I would say if your partner has been purchasing the stock it is their stock until such time as you sell it. .... or it could be his/her business and you are working for them???
