Sunday Times Where Was I? competition
The prize: The winners will stay for three nights, on a B&B basis, at the Classical 2, Fashion House Hotel, which opened last year in the trendy Monastiraki district of Athens. Each floor of this high-concept hotel embodies a different fashion style and combines avant-garde design ideas with modern comforts. Included in the prize is one dinner for two in the hotel’s quirky Foodball Bar-Restaurant.
Also included in the prize are return flights for two from Stansted with Aegean Airlines, which offers three daily flights to Athens on board its new Airbus fleet. Being a full-service carrier, it offers both business and economy class, free drinks and a hot meal on board. The prize must be taken before November 30, 2009, excluding school and bank holidays, and is subject to availability.
THE QUESTIONS
1 What is the name of the semi-rural place? Runnymede
2 What is the name of the village? Shepperton
I'm not sure about the second answer. The poet is buried in Shepperton but lived in Lower Halliford, a smaller village to the east. On the face of it neither qualifies as being where he "lived and is buried". However I have gone for S on the basis that LH can be considered to be part of it.
