I had quite a bit of dosh in an RBS subsidiary at the time - bought gold, started taking out my max limit every day from the ATMs to build an emergency cash fund and transfered the surplus over immediate needs into my NR eSaver account which was the next best thing to government bonds.

Did you really do all this, or are you a teenager living at home with his Mum without any money at all?

    I'm just being immature. Sorry.

In case you're interested, we moved a good chunk of our money in to Yen around 8 months ago, have buried our premium bonds in a park location known only to us, have invested heavily in the Venuzualian fishing industry (it's been undervalued for years) and steadily incresed the stock in our freezer with various, rare cheeses.

    Got nowt in Sterling anymore.

    A 1968 Brie
    A rather nice 1998 Munster
A very sought after 1993 Red Leicester that was actually made in Nottingham.

    That kind of thing.

Ask !!!!!!, he'll know about this type of malarkey.
  • I have a Dairy Lea Triangle that's been in my fridge since 1997. Do you think it will be worth anything? I had a half eaten Cheesy String that had been there since 2002, but I ate what was left last week. If I'd known it might be worth something, I'd have kept hold of it!

I'm always the last to get into 'The next BIG thing'! Does anybody want to buy 1/2 ton of Tulip bulbs?

I was going to suggest the Daily Sport, as at least that has pretty ladies to make up for the lack of content! :p:D
  • I heard on the QT last week that Buy to Lets are good. Apparently some developers are paying the 15% deposit for you if you buy one of their apartments.
