Went to Mayfield Alpaka Farm with my daughter and granddaughters this week. Parking was free, access to alpacas was free and you can take your own picnic if you want. We chose to use the cafe, which served a decent latte and hot chocolate, and home made scones and cream at a very reasonable price. The current owners have only been there a few months and are very nice, and child friendly. The sofa in front of the log burning stove is the best spot. Don't know if this is the right place to post this so apologies if it's not!!!

It really is a lovely spot, we walked up to it from Endcliffe park (it's a long way!)
There's ducks and a few other things as well.
Enjoy
Western Bank Museum is also free and nice for kids0 -
Sounds just like the kind of thing my kids would like. Thanks!0

There's also an Animal Farm at Graves Park; They have donkeys, pigs, chickens, rabbits etc and even a couple of deer. The park is nice to walk around, there's an adventure playground for the nippers and the Rose Garden Cafe does a nice Bacon sarnie.

Hi
Ive passed this a few times on the walk from Endcliffe Park (very beatuiful and FREE walk with stunning views of the city at the end). I noticed last time that they had a cafe, so I'll call in next time. Thanks for this0 -
thanks very much for the tip! I wasn't aware of that Alpaca farm and will take my little one there. I'm sure he'll love it! :TIn charge of a tight budget for a family of 50
