BM Bargains - good deals?

Not sure how many people have one of these nearby but I was really surprised when I went into one as to how cheap some things are in there. They had branded stuff and things like jars of sauces for about 10p.
Can anyone recommend any particular good offers or items in there who has one nearby?

  • I used to work for B&M when i was at college. At the time things like tin spuds were Princes but had different labels over the top. What they get in can vary or not last long, curry pastes used to be good value, and they often get branded stuff in which can be cheaper than supermarkets.

Havent been in for a bit so dont know what they have in at the minute.

Most of the bargains sell out quickly, and are not replaced. At the moment they have M&S bamboo shoots and water chestnuts for 29p, and Allinson's organic bread mix, also 29p.

I find most of the really good deals are very transient - so if you find something you really like, go back & get some more while it's still in stock! I've just done that with the organic bread mixes at 29p for 500g, white or malted, one bag makes a big loaf & it's really delicious. The stock in my store is labelled as good until end Feb (although I'm sure it will be fine for a bit longer.....) I've also found they are good for bottled beers & ciders, usually around 99p for a 500ml bottle, & usually plenty of choice (although expect a different range each time). I also tend to look here first if I need to get a box of chocolates, as they often have some high quality continental brands.
