  • OH another decision made for all of us then..... whilst I do understand the need to do this, would it not be better to improve the energy bulbs first! 2cents.gif

I bought a dozen in the store that took over Hypa value - they had loads cost me about £1-50. My Dad needed some as well as the energy saving ones throw out a light that isn't right for his eyes. Mylecular degeneration and a cataract. please excuse spelling
  • Asda (Rochdale) had them in stock Saturday, I think they were £1.50 for a pack of 5 or 6 x 100watt.

I found some on the litelec website. For £13 I got:

    20x 100w pearl bulbs
    5x 100w clear bulbs
    1x 150w pearl bulb (extravagant) :D
    1x 100w daylight bulb

... including delivery!! Very pleased with myself and will stock up again soon.

I love the traditional 100w bulbs, our house is almost all energy saving bulbs now (mostly '100w equivalent', what a joke) and it is horrible. I am going to put the 100w bulbs in the hall etc as it is stupid to wait 5 minutes for them to light up when you need instant light.

I feel like we'll soon be living in the dark like moles when they are banned.
