Help with natwest advantage gold account plz

OK so after my raving about Natwest lol which i still agree with i hope i haven't made a huge error!
When i went in to open the account i asked for a 'bank account' she said 'oh the computers come up with advantage gold' i said 'ah ok what is that', she explained all the freebies (for £13 p/month!) by this time it had gone through..i have 90 days to cancel..fine i thought and was planning on using some of the things on it.
However i have tonight changed my mind and don't think it is worth it tbh so can i cancel? if i do what will happen to my account..reason i ask is i changed all my DD's over to this one today (all 17 of them and more to go!) so really really don't fancy the idea of starting again..Any ideas please? please don't tell me i have to pay the £13..for nothing!

p.s we have read the terms and condits but neither me or dh can understand them!
Thanks

10.3 If you cease (at your own option) to be an Advantage Gold customer within 90 days of your account being opened, we will refund any subscription fees you have paid in that period, provided that you have not:
    (a) taken out a personal loan or mortgage through Advantage Gold Banking; or
    (b) made a claim under any insurance policy taken out through Advantage Gold Insurance; or
    (c) used the Advantage Gold Travel Service.
For these purposes, we will not treat you as ceasing to be an Advantage Gold customer at your own option if you close your account during the 60 day period mentioned in General Condition 10.4.1 or the period specified in any notice we give
    you under General Condition 7.3.1.

Took from the terms and conditions of personal and private banking, can be found on their website. Basically you have 90 days to cancel your account if you are not happy with it, as long as you have not used any of the benefits you can claim a full refund.
  • how can you have 17 direct debits? i thought that would have been impossible.

I think the point is here that the 90 days period allows for a refund of any fees paid.
There is no restriction however on simply downgrading the a/c at any time (without a refund of previous charged fees).

Thanks guys, i saw the terms bit again last night and as far as i'm concerned i have used nothing so that's ok as far as any refunds as not owed anything! I do however have an overdraft higher than what i asked for that they need to ammend but im not fussed about that..will that be affected..

My dd's to be fair include ones in aswell and although they are not dd's it was easier to put that! i have:
    Child benefit in
    Tax credits in
    Top up tv out
    Water out
    Gas out
    Electric out
    Legal & general insurance out
    Mortagage out
    Rent S/O out
    Mobile out
    HRMC N.I payments out
Nursery milk claims as S/E in
    Virgin out
Young saver to dd account out
    Sainsburys cat ins out
    BT out
    Tv licence out

Can anyone see anything i could cut thay are all pretty standard are they not? not that i need to but just wondered!
    Thanks
